Henry Vinson and Elijah Colburn met in Fall of 2011 while both attending Middle Tennessee State University. The class they shared required groups to produce original tunes and present them for a better understanding of promotion in the recording industry (spawning the 2011 release of “Timeless for the Moment”). Upon being grouped together in the course, and discovering that they shared similar musical interests and inspirations in Hip Hop, the two continue collaborations throughout 2012 and 2013. Through a series of recording sessions in Elijah’s backyard studio in 2012 they recorded their soon-to-be released debut album The Fall.
The single released by the duo here anticipates the songs to be displayed on the forthcoming debut by showcasing the group’s introspective side (the A side “Good High!”) while also displaying their ode to party anthems (the B side “Chillin”). The bonus track “Die for the Cash” focuses on the dark underbelly of American Lifestyle, showcasing lyricism focused on an ever-increasingly-present dystopian society where the almighty dollar rules human interaction.
Stayed tuned for the debut album from Episode Two, entitled The Fall, to be released in Fall 2014.
